1. Introduction and Legal Ownership
Famnest is a registered trademark (UK Trade Mark No: UK00004259820) owned by Silo Team Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stair Path AB.
The Famnest platform (the “Platform”) is operated and provided by Stair Path AB (org.nr: 559393-4887), a company incorporated under the laws of Sweden, with its registered office at Trappstigen 21, 13337 Saltsjöbaden.
By creating an account, signing up, or using the Platform in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Stair Path AB.
2. Purpose and Disclaimer
Famnest is a family coordination and information-sharing tool designed to help families organize data such as custody schedules, medical records, allergies, and shared notes.
- Famnest is not a medical, legal, or professional service.
- Famnest does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or legal counsel of any kind.
- All content on the Platform is user-generated and provided for organizational purposes only.
- Do not rely on Famnest for medical or emergency decisions. Always seek advice from qualified professionals.
You use the Platform at your own risk and remain solely responsible for all decisions based on any content stored or shared via the Platform.

4. Data Protection & Privacy
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU 2016/679) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Key Commitments:
- All personal data is hosted on secure servers within the European Union.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
- You control your personal data and may manage, download, or delete it at any time.
- You may only submit sensitive data (e.g. child or medical information) if you have the legal authority to do so.
- We only process sensitive data with your explicit consent.

5. Account Eligibility and Use
- You must be at least 18 years old or the legal guardian of a child user to create an account.
- The Platform is not intended for children to create their own accounts.
- You agree to:

- Keep your account credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach
You are solely responsible for all activity under your account.
6. License and Use Restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Platform. You must not:
- Reverse engineer, resell, or copy the Platform
- Upload malicious content or unauthorized third-party data
- Use the Platform for any unlawful, exploitative, or harmful purpose
- Share other people’s personal or sensitive information without consent
7. Shared Data and Permissions
You can share content (messages, medical records, calendar events, contact information, documents, and notes) with other approved users.
- Only users you explicitly grant access to can view shared content.
- You may revoke or manage access at any time via your account settings.
8. Children’s Data and Parental Consent
- Parents/legal guardians must provide verified consent before storing or processing a child’s personal or medical information.
- Famnest will never knowingly collect data directly from children without guardian involvement.
- Guardians can review or delete their child’s data at any time.
9. Subscriptions, Payments, and Withdrawal Rights
- Some features may be free or paid.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the billing period ends.
- You may cancel at any time via your account or by contacting hello@getfamnest.com
- Refunds are provided according to applicable consumer protection laws (e.g. 14-day withdrawal right in the European Union).
By purchasing any digital content or subscription, you consent to immediate access and acknowledge that this waives your statutory 14-day withdrawal right under EU law.
10. Third-Party Services
We may use trusted third-party providers (e.g. hosting, cloud infrastructure) to operate the Platform.
- All providers must comply with GDPR and our security standards.
- We do not allow any provider to train AI models on or commercialize your data.
11. Security
We apply industry-standard security practices, including:
- End-to-end encryption during transmission
- Secure EU-based data centres
- Internal access control policies
If a data breach occurs, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or where required by law.
We may retain data for up to six months post-termination to allow account recovery, after which it will be deleted unless legally required otherwise.
13. App Store & Play Store Terms
When downloading the Platform via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The agreement is between you and Stair Path AB, not Apple or Google.
- Apple and Google are not responsible for the Platform, its content, or any support/maintenance.
- Stair Path AB is solely responsible for addressing any claims, losses, liabilities, or legal issues related to the Platform.
- You must also comply with the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Google Play Terms of Service.
- You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to embargoes or sanctions and are not listed on any prohibited or restricted party list.
14. Legal Disclosures
We may disclose user information if required to do so by law, court order, or lawful request from authorities.
You will be notified unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law (including in California and the European Union):
- The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- You use the Platform entirely at your own risk.
- Stair Path AB shall not be liable for:
- Any reliance you place on information from the Platform
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages
- Any loss of data, unauthorized access, or service interruptions
- Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
If you are a consumer, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted under applicable consumer protection law.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect legal, technical, or business changes.
We will notify you of material updates. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, except where mandatory consumer protections of your home country apply. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden.
