Founded by siblings Rasmus and Ida Stjernström, Famnest is building a privacy-first Family OS that brings finances, bills, calendars, documents, health records and everyday household responsibilities into one place, with AI that can understand the family as a whole.

Project milestones

From listening to a family-first platform.

We launched early, learned from real family behavior and kept building around what families actually use, not what we assumed they needed.

It started with a Reddit post.

We shared the idea publicly on Reddit before building. Community feedback became the first input into the product, setting a build-in-the-open approach from day one.

Ideation

386 family interviews.

We interviewed 386 families about how they manage money, responsibilities and decisions together. The clearest signal: families wanted their information connected, not another standalone tool.

Research

We went where families were.

We went beyond our online audience, meeting families through local communities, flyers and football matches to make sure the product was shaped by a broader range of real households.

Community

Famnest launched.

After three intensive weeks of in-house development, we launched the first Famnest app on iOS and Android, turning what we had learned from families into a working product.

Families told us Famnest was changing how they felt.

In a survey of 5,340 users, 84% said Famnest helped them feel more in control of their finances and 79% said they felt more financially confident.

Impact

Mary, our free AI assistant, launched.

We launched Mary, our free AI assistant for accessible budgeting and financial guidance. With household context, Mary can answer questions, organize information and help families take the next step.

Product

10,000+ downloads.

Just over two months after launch, Famnest passed 10,000 downloads, driven largely by referrals, organic channels and social communities rather than heavy paid acquisition.

Growth accelerated.

Commercial traction followed engagement: revenue grew about 70% month over month, accelerating to roughly 125% in the latest month, while growth remained highly efficient and largely organic.
